We are pleased to announce that 3DP-STeF will take part in the 25th ECOSYSTEX webinar, bringing together four EU-funded projects working to strengthen skills, vocational education and training across the Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear (TCLF) sectors.
The webinar will explore how European initiatives are helping prepare students, educators and professionals for the green and digital transition of the sector. From sustainable materials and smart clothing to artificial intelligence and 3D printing, the session will offer a look at different approaches to developing the skills needed for the future of textiles and fashion.
Representing 3DP-STeF, Christos Baknis from the Technical University of Crete will present the project and its work on building green and digital skills through 3D printing for sustainable textiles and fashion.
The presentation will take place from 10:45 to 11:00 and will be an opportunity to discover how 3DP-STeF is connecting education, technology and sustainability to help learners and professionals explore the potential of 3D printing within the textile and fashion sectors.
Alongside 3DP-STeF, participants will also hear from IMASUS, focusing on sustainable materials and design practice; SEiSC, exploring sustainable entrepreneurship, smart clothing, virtual simulations and AI; and TechStyle, presenting insights into AI skills and training needs for sustainable fashion.
Dedicated Q&A sessions will give participants the opportunity to engage directly with the projects, ask questions and exchange ideas.
We invite students, educators, researchers, fashion and textile professionals, and anyone interested in the future of skills and innovation in the sector to join us for the session.
A big thank you to ECOSYSTEX for the invitation and for giving 3DP-STeF the opportunity to present our work alongside other European initiatives working towards a greener, more digital and better-skilled textile and fashion ecosystem.
